Hi everyone! For all those playing netball on monday who don't know the rules, here they are:
Netball Rules :D

Footwork
Land on either one foot or both feet
If you land on one foot, you cannot move that foot, but you can pivot using the other foot
If you land on both feet, you can choose which foot you want as your landing foot
If a stepping is made, the opponent gets a free pass

Free pass
The opponent gets to throw the ball from where the foul was committed
Takes place when there is stepping, replay, off side and more I think but I can’t remember haha just do it if the umpire says free pass lah :)

Penalty
The opponent gets to throw the ball from where the foul is committed
Takes place when there is contact by a player on an opponent
The player who contacted her opponent has to stand beside the thrower
Once the ball is released, the played who made contact can resume defending etc.

Penalty pass or shot
The opponent gets to either pass the ball to another player or shoot
Takes place when there is contact within the goal circle
The opponent contacted (must be shooter) can choose to either throw out of the goal circle or shoot from where she is
DON’T BE STUPID AND WASTE IT, SHOOT :D
The player who contacted the opponent has to stand by the opponent’s side until she has released the ball

Replay
Replay is when the player bounces the ball or throws it up and catches it again
Can take place anywhere
Usually if it is not in the goal circle, it happens when the player is unable to catch the ball properly and bounces it or drops it before catching it again
When the shooter in the goal circle shoots and the ball does not touch the rim and the same shooter catches it again, that is considered as replay as well
When replay is committed, the opponent gets a free pass

Off side
Offside is when the player steps out of her designated area or steps out of court
The opponent gets a free pass

Shooting
Only the GS and GA can shoot (DUH!)
The GS and GA can shoot from anywhere within the goal circle
If the ball hits the rim, the shooters can get the rebound and try again
If the ball does not, the same shooter cannot catch it again

Held ball
Held ball is when the player holds the ball for more 3 seconds or more
A free pass is given to the opponent

Throw in
A throw in takes place when the ball goes out of court
The opponent of whoever last touched the ball throws the ball in from outside the court, standing at where the ball went out of court
The thrower must toe the line and cannot step on the line

Contact
Contact is when a player uhhhh pushes, shoves, snatches the ball, obstructs the opponent etc.
Obstruction is a form of contact
This is when the player does not stand 3 feet away from the opponent before stretching out her hands to defend her
A penalty pass is given if it takes place outside the goal circle
A penalty pass or shot is given if it takes places inside the goal circle

Breaking
Breaking is when the players (WA, WD, GA or GD) steps over the transfer line before the whistle is blown for centre pass
A free pass is given to the opponent

Lisa typed all these rules out. I can't put the picture showing all the parts of the court where each position can move so if you're no sure you can ask either Lisa or me to send it to you. Please make sure you know the rules by Monday. Good luck!
